The Practical Exploration Of Case Work Involved In The Mental Health Problems Of Empty Nest Elderly In Cities

In recent years,the aging of China’s population is deepening,and the number of the elderly is increasing.With the development of modern medical technology,the average life span of human beings has been improved,the family structure has changed,and more and more young people choose to fight in big cities,which also leads to the increase of the number of empty nesters.In the empty nest state,the elderly generally lack the company of their children,which often leads to a variety of mental health problems.In order to alleviate these problems,the government issued relevant policies to deal with them,and scholars from all walks of life also carried out corresponding research and exploration to seek solutions.During the internship in Z community,Futian District,Shenzhen,the author learned about the overall situation of the empty nest elderly in the community through communication with the working station personnel,directly contacted with the empty nest elderly in the community,understood their specific living conditions,and found that the empty nest elderly generally had some mental health problems.At the same time,the existing community environment does not provide services to solve these problems.Therefore,the author began to try to study the mental health problems of the empty nest elderly from the perspective of social work.The practical work of social work can not be separated from the guidance of theory.Based on the theory of advantage perspective,this study stimulates the individual potential of the case owner,gradually recovers the self-confidence of the case owner,develops his ability to solve problems,and guides the life of the case owner with the theory of ecosystem The state system is considered at all levels to comprehensively analyze and understand the environment and problems faced by the case owner,and then intervene in the personal system,family system and community system of the case owner to realize the purpose of personal cognitive transformation,increase of family affection and community belonging,so as to solve the mental health problems and finally realize the social work "helping others to help themselves" The core goal of.The working method used in this study is one of the three common methods of social work.The case service object is an empty nest old man X in the urban community.After the intervention service,the overall situation is improved,the personal understanding is corrected,the family relationship is improved,the community can be better integrated,the psychological situation is improved,and the society can be better adapted.Through this study,we found that social work can play a positive role in the mental health problems of the empty nest elderly,make their old life more colorful,and promote the harmony between people and society.
