The application of simulation technology in the military field is more and more important, its significant advantages include convenience of running, saving cost, reducing casualties, rich scene and so on. Currently, parallel discrete event simulation is a quite advanced simulation technology. It adopts the mechanisms of running in parallel and discrete event propulsion, which greatly improves the efficiency of simulation and keeps the model as close to the realistic scenarios as possible. This thesis adopts Speedes as parallel discrete simulation platform to simulate the fighting process of combat units in army combat. The main work of this thesis include the following three aspects:(1) According to the fighting duration and whether an attack target is concentrated, direct combat can be classified into two forms:continuously direct attack and discretely direct attack. Aiming at their different characteristics, combat process and loss calculation model arc established, respectively. Considering the continuous characteristic of continuously direct attack, this thesis adopts Lanchester integral equation and Runge-Kutta integral to calculate attack results. For dispersedly direct attack, its attack result is random and fighting period is short, so a random kill probability model is used to calculate attack results.(2) Indirect combat includes three parts:the establishment of indirect fire support task list, the execution of indirect fire support task list, and the calculation of attack results. Considering that one of the greatest features of indirect attack is task promotion, to achieve the fire support task list which needs to be executed by indirect combat units, a selection method for indirect fire support schedule is given. To ensure the indirect fire support task to be executed orderly and efficiently, a step based execution strategy is improved. To get the accurate results of indirect attack, a fractional damage coverage model is utilized on the basis of the characteristic of partial damage.(3) In order to testify the correctness of several modules developed and verify the rationality of combat model construction and attack results calculation, a series of function tests on direct combat module and indirect combat module are carried out, and the accuracy of the attack results is also analyzed. The test results show that the direct/indirect combat module designed and developed can achieve stated goals according to input data, and the number of damage is as expected.
