"Capricious":the Behavior Logic Of "Self-reported Landlord" In The Land Reform

the north area of Henan Province is on the east side of Taihang Mountain, west side of North China Plain, nouth side of the Yellow River. It is the main channel of Shanxi Province across the Taihang Mountain into North China Plain, is the border region of mountains and plains. It has a very special and complex regional environment before the land reform. In the period of the war of resistance against Japan,north area of Henan is the guerrilla area of K.M.T Zhongtiaoshan Anti Japanese base areas, CCP Taihang Anti Japanese base areas and the puppet regime; in the period of the war of liberation, north area of Henan is the main battlefield of the K.M.T and CCP in North China.There are two themes worthy to study about the land reform in such a position: The first one is the local political environment, the north area of Henan in various political forces, it is different from "the KMT controlled area" or " the CCP controlled area " that who have a single stable political environment, coupled with the 1942 natural disasters, the local people facing the loss of personnel, there is not a single stable political environment in local; the second one is the local political behavior, the living environment of local people is complex, the local landlord is capricious, positive change and flexible services, they don’t have the pursuit of righteousness and political beliefs. During the land reform, there are Close connections between the local political environment and the political behavior.To study the local political environment and the landlord’s political behavior, this paper to the land reform movement as the carrier, to a "self report landlord" Wang Shifu’s behavior in the land reform as the main line, to experienced oral materials to the local land reform movement of the parties as the basis, to discussed in case of oral history. The first chapter describes the background of the topic, the status of the existing research, research framework and methods, and the introduction of the case. The second chapter describes the political environment of Bei village’s landlord Wang Shifu before the land reform, and Wang Shifu how to survival under the various political. The three chapter describes Wang Shifu is capricious in the land reform, mainly describes Wang Shifu reported himself to the landlord to ensure his family to survival, and to curry favor with the villagers and the new regime. The fourth chapter described due to Wang Shifu actively participate in the land reform,he achieved a good political environment after the land reform, and he actively adapt to the new regime. The fifth chapter is the reason and logic analysis of Wang Shifu’s self-reported landlord behavior in land reform. Carry the Marxist materialist dialectics to analysis the local political environment and the landlord’s political behavior, political environment is the root cause of the politics behavior, they both influence each other and interact as both cause and effect, the two are the dialectical unification relations.
