In the movement of land reform, a wide range of class fighting occurred in the country fields accompanied by dividing composition, farmland and property. Underlying farmers’ fighting was a way of political participation which was regular but not ordinary in this special historical period. And this kind of political participation had obvious characteristics such as political mobilization and violence. The first part of this paper is the introduction, this part mainly makes simple introduction to the research significance, perspective, the core concept and the case village of this article. The second part analyzes the class division and status identification in the land reform, and point out that by class division and given composition land reform sorted out the political identity of the members at the village. Also, the participation subject has been clear. But in this process, the standard of class division in the policy level was also flexibly operated in the actual execution and the leading group of class fighting was also transformed. The third part focuses on why farmers took part in the class fighting, and discusses the farmers’ class awareness and the motivation of participation in the class fighting during land reform. The party shaped farmers’ class thinking by class enlightenment, and realized to put the incrimination on landowner by logic thinking in the class of cognition and to stimulate farmers’ "fighting" mentality. But these were not the total reasons of them to take into "fighting", and it is necessary to see their own beneficial consideration. The fourth part discusses how the farmers participated in the "fighting" happening in the village as well as the main channels of "fighting". At the beginning of land reform, the underlying farmers are hesitated and indifferent to this policy. The party mobilized and united the class as a fighting group by offering incentives and pouring out one’s woes. But the farmers who had been mobilized were in high spirits and showed violent political expression. The fifth part focuses on landlords, working-teams and poor farmers. The working-teams were the direct force which represented the party to implement the land reform policy in the country. The difference of status between landlords and the poor farmers were the biggest. To analyze these three roles’ behavior selection, the paper aims to highlight the situation of opposite classes during the land reform. The sixth part explores that the farmers’ enthusiasm for fighting has faded and the will of participation declined after the allocation of field and wealth. The land reform policies had only changed the property distribution in the village, and there were disgruntled phenomenon to the farmers. Then they met their sectional will and under the penetration of party power, they increasingly showed their boredom to the manner of "fighting" in the political participation. The last part is the summary and discussion of the above content. This paper tries to research the underlying farmers’ political participation in the background of land reform from the angle of themselves and finds that farmers manifested periodic characteristic like beneficial recognition, emotional recognition and instrumental recognition to the fighting in the political participation. The class fighting also turned out to be a failure despite its transient effects. The essence reveals that the political behavior was encountered with resistant response which was under class context.
