Exploration And Analysis On Rescue Of Children Of Incarcerated Parents

Up to the end of 2013, almost 180.76 million criminals have been in jails in our country. As a result, the amount of their minor children is large. At present, most of these children of incarcerated parents are confronted with a dilemma. Firstly, they are facing survival crisis that their basic rights to life, development, guardianship and human dignity are difficult to be guaranteed. Secondly, they are in lack of care, which cause them severe psychological trauma. No matter in view of the realistic significance of guaranteeing their fundamental human rights and maintaining social harmony, or due to the law concepts that the best interests of children, equal protection of people’s rights and country parental authority, they deserve special rescue. However, much difficulty appears during the rescue because of the absence of rescuers, the defects of rescue system and uncultured rescue concepts, which make most of them receive little help. In order to make them grow up like common children, we need to offer them help from three aspects. Firstly, the whole society take part in the rescue with the leadership of the government. Secondly, improvement of rescue system is also necessary. At last, rescue concepts must be changed. No one can choose his or her parents. On their position, it is so sad that their parents go to jail and are far away from them. What we should do is not increasing their misfortune but helping them regain the hope of their life.
