In today ’ s information age, new media supported by Internet and mobile communications technology, enjoys a rapid development and popularization, which has already made a profound impact on social development and people’s daily lives.New media not only enables the audiences to be the possible owners of media, which was not possible in the past, but also intensively affect politics, economics, culture and almost every field, which makes it become the key point for acquiring the superiority in politics, accelerating the development of economics and cultural exchange.This work is to reveal the role which new media plays in the Party-masses Relationship, based on Marxist Mass Viewpoint. On the one hand, new media provide a superb opportunity for building harmonious relationship between part and masses because new media build a great platform for them to know each other, which contributes to guarantee the democratic rights of mass and is helpful for Party building. On the other hand, new media bring much pressure in many aspects, like maintaing a fair and harmonious social order,establishing a good image of party,guiding public opinion and improving the quality of the party members and so on.In one word, if our party can’t catch the opportunities brought by new media to establish early warning mechanism in time,our country will miss this opportunity to go further and even lead to the harm to the party’s development and people’s interests.So, making full use of the opportunity brought by new media and overcoming its negative effects, using its positive influence for the welfare of our people should be our current important task.This work is established on Marxist Mass Viewpoint and party-construction and aims to in-depth analysis the challenge and problems in Party-masses Relationship brought by new media, and explores the resolution meanwhile.The thesis contains six parts. Firstly, we present the significance, current situation and the method in this project. The second analyzes the necessity of building a harmonious relationship between our party and people now. This chapter discusses the great significance that a harmonious relationship bring to the construction of a harmonious society, to the construction of democratic politics and so on.Chapter 3 and chapter 4 analyzed advantages and disadvantages brought by new media for the construction of a harmonious relationship between our party and people: on the one hand, the new media can enhance the publicity of the party, expand the communication channels between the party and the masses, improve the party’s ruling ability, strengthen democratic supervision; On the other hand, the propaganda space of our party will be squeezed, public opinion guide effect will be weakened.It will bring more difficulties to the construction of the image of the party and maintenance of the interest of Disadvantaged Information Groups.The fifth chapter analyzed how to build a harmonious party-masses relationship based on the two chapters above : to reinforce party ’ s construction, to improve the quality of the Communist Party-owned newspaper, to assist the information disadvantaged groups and so on.Epilog stressed the importance of building a harmonious relationship between our party and people in this new media environment once again and summarizes the full text getting the following conclusions :First of all, our party must attaches great importance to the use of new media with a forward-looking vision; Secondly, new media is a "double-edged sword",so,our party must take good use of it’s advantages and avoid disadvantages;Once again, must adhere to the mass and stick to walk around the mass line.
