The Empirical Study On Yunnan Tibetan Ethnic Consciousness

The Tibetan is a number of the big family of the Chinese nation who has a long history, profound and unique culture. And it is also a lager ethnic group between Chinese minorities. As a part of Chinese Tibet, targets such as"the best Tibet", "the demonstration area of rapid growth and lasting political stability of the Tibetan all over the whole country" highlighted the demonstration value of Diqing between Tibetan areas of China. Based on field research results, this study selected Diqing Tibetan as a sample of the Tibetan ethnic consciousness research, analysis the influence of Tibetan ethnic consciousness and relative behavior. This study depicts the ethnic consciousness of Diqing Tibetan and combs the influencing factors. After that, this study also explores the course of how to guide ethnic consciousness. It is an exploration of maintaining political stability of South-western China from the angle of ethnic consciousness area.In terms of the main conclusions of this study, firstly, individual ethnic consciousness and relative cognition are influenced by friends significantly. Secondly, living environment, community structure, political status, age and other factors influence individual ethnic consciousness synthetically. Thirdly, parents’ethnic identity has sound influence on their children’ ethnic consciousness.Specifically, the different situations of parents’ ethnic identity will result in different individual ethnic consciousness. Individual ethnic consciousness has various individual differences objectively. Diversified individual ethnic consciousness is benefit for national unity and stability indirectly, which should be respected. Attention should be paid to the status of group ethnic consciousness in ethnic works,and regulating its expression cautiously. In order to guide the health development of group ethnic consciousness, leader management and norms should be improved.Based on previous studies, this study concentrate on using different methods to observe different carriers of ethnic consciousness. For the individual level of ethnic consciousness, free will should be respected; for the group level, different correspond measures should be adopted according to different expression levels.In addition, this study combined family psychology and political content to analysis the influences of family-of-origin in individual ethnic consciousness.
