With the advent of the era of network, more and more citizens participate in the public opinion transmission and information crisis also arise. As the main transmission platform of crisis information, the media play an important role in the crisis information management and its positive impact is unneglectable. It can reduce the negative influence brought by crisis effectively and scientifically if we could give full play to the media and its positive role. This thesis focuses on the media in the internet crisis information transmission. It explores the media attributes and their influence on crisis information dissemination with the help of multi-agent simulation technology. In the thesis, the research results can provides a strong support for policing and managing crisis by playing the positive role of media.First of all, this thesis expounds the crisis theories from three aspects by literature review, including the concept of crisis communication, complex system modeling method based on the spread of the Internet, and crisis response. The thesis extracts participants and its influencing factors by comparing the concept and dissemination characteristics of crisis and network crisis. Secondly, the thesis analyzes the media’s factors by the method of questionnaire and structural equation model based on the above analysis and concludes the key factors including media professional, panic, information truth degree and authority. Thirdly, combining with the methods of multi-agent simulation and finite trust theory, a simulation model on the diffusion of the public crisis information in the network environment is built, including the main attributes, parameters and rules of communication. Then, use the simulation platform Netlogo, we enter the initial data of "12.13" event in Taiyuan, Shanxi, simulate this event and analyze the result of the simulation. Finally, concludes the thesis, and points out prospects the further research as well as limitations of this thesis.
