The Exploration Of Mao Zedong Democratic Thought And Its Contemporary Value

Democracy is an old but evergreen topic in the process of human civilization and it inspires countless people with lofty ideal to explore and strive unswervingly. Since the first Opium War, the Chinese nation has written a great history in the pursuit of democracy. As the founder of socialistic democracy with Chinese characteristics, Mao Zedong led the Communist Party of China and people to overcome hardships to establish a suitable democratic system for the national conditions of China bravely to achieve the well-being of his motherland and people. We should dialectically study the democratic thought of Mao Zedong. We must inherit and develop Mao Zedong Democratic Thought which has been testified right by practice and learn a lesson from the democratic thought and practice of Mao Zedong in his old age, bringing the value of Mao Zedong Democratic Thought in the Chinese modern democratic development into play, which boost the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation to achieve.The research content of this paper is divided into three parts. The first part mainly expounds the formation conditions of Mao Zedong Democratic Thought, which are divided into three parts: the theoretical origin, the subjective condition and the practical base. And this part expounds the evolution process of Mao Zedong Democratic Thought, which is based on the formation conditions. According to the historical period of the life of Mao Zedong, the evolution process of Mao Zedong Democratic Thought is divided into four stages: sprout, basic formation, mature and development, at the same time, this part explores three major limitations of the democratic thought of Mao Zedong in his old age. The second part analyses Mao Zedong Democratic Thought scientifically by the standpoint, the viewpoint and the method of Marxism.
