Issues Research On The Cultural Volunteer Service Of Community

With the flourishing development of socialist cultural undertakings, the public’s need for cultural life has increased rapidly. As a field of the public’s cultural events, community provides a broad social platform for the development of socialist cultural undertakings. Therefore, Community culture becomes an indispensable part in the development of socialist cultural undertakings. As a new force of cultural service, community culture volunteers take part in community cultural events broadly in the way of volunteer services, not only provide manpower for the development of community culture, but also improve the quality of service of community cultural events, which will contribute to the development of public cultural service in community.This thesis is investigated by literature review, questionnaire and interview. Firstly, the definitions of volunteers, volunteer services, cultural volunteers and community cultural volunteers are given respectively. Secondly, the general state of community cultural volunteer services is summarized, including the analysis of the main content, service areas and main results of the service provided by community cultural volunteers. Thirdly, on the basis of having a good knowledge of the current situation of community cultural volunteer services, the aim of the current research is to investigate the problems existing in community cultural volunteer services. There are four problems, the first one is hard for the sustainable development due to lack of funds. The second one is the shortage of volunteers. The third one is lack of communication and co-ordination with other cultural organizations. The last one is the imperfectness of the management mechanism. Fourthly, according to those problems, some solutions are provided. The first one is to expand the channels of capital source. The second one is to develop the force of volunteers. Next one is to strengthen the communication and to build a all-round cultural service system. The fourth one is to create incentives. The last one is to establish a network platform for cultural service. In a word, improving the community cultural volunteer service will contribute to understand the situation and development tendency of the community culture deeply, and improve the service quality of the volunteers.
