The Practical Research On The Basic State Policy Of Equality Between Men And Women In Xinjiang

Women are creators of a social material and spiritual civilization who are compared to "half the sky". Women promote social progress and development, in other words, there will be no humanity or society without women. Throughout history,there will be no human emancipation and progress without women’s emancipation and progress. For this reason, human traversed a bumpy and extraordinary journey to realize the lofty ideals of gender equality. From the first declaration which was born200 years ago on the rights of women in the world to the establishment of the International Women’s Day, from the establishment of the United Nations Commission on the Status to the "Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women", every step of the women’s development contributed to the progress of human civilization.Communist Party of China put to achieve gender equality and promote the development of women as one of its goals from the date of its birth. After the founding of New China, especially since the reform and opening up, gender equality has become the basic national policy under the leadership of the Party. "Adhere to the basic state policy of gender equality and protect the legitimate rights and interests of women and children," was written into the report of the 18 th CPC National Congress.These initiatives are the solemn commitment of the party and government to promote gender equality, but also reflects the party and the government’s confidence and determination to achieve gender equality. It is an important strategic plan to implement the basic national policy of gender equality under the new situation. With the implementation of the basic national policy of gender equality, China’s Women career has made a remarkable achievements, but at the same time, there are some problems accompanied these achievements, especially in border areas inhabited by ethnic minorities.The basic national policy of gender equality in the implementation of Xinjiangfaces many challenges because of Xinjiang’s special geographical location and ethnic composition. This paper will elaborate the inequalities between men and women in Xinjiang based on the Marxist feminism theory. It will be a deep understanding,analysis and grasp of the connotation and be combined with the characteristics of the current stage of development of Xinjiang. Then, this paper will propose a solution based on this analysis in order to help people change their ideas and correct theory as its own guide to action. The ultimate aim is to implement the basic national policy to promote gender equality in Xinjiang, so as to build a harmonious Xinjiang to provide some guidance.
