Experimental Research Of Application Of Taekwondo In The Police Sports

Police physical education is an important part of the police contingent, and it is the basic guarantee for building a strong public contingent. In recent years, social security is becoming increasingly complex. The violent crime has included more and more technology, and the cases that criminals confront with the police with arm or not happened very often. The lesson of blood reflects the police lack of skills about martial art and defeating the enemy. The world’s first Combat Sports-Taekwondo has concise and tough way to beat directly or counter others, and the teaching content focuses on the combat training. This training which is simple and highly effective is an important method for unarmed fighting. This paper explored and analyzed the feasibility of the Taekwondo application in police physical education by the way of literature research, questionnaire survey, experiment, mathematical statistics and logic induction. And by the research the writer proposed an idea that applying Taekwondo in the Police physical education. The main conclusions as below:1. Taekwondo characteristic is consistent with police work, it accords with the international development trends of Police physical education. Most of the police hold correct understanding of Taekwondo, there is still great room for Taekwondo development in the area of Police physical education.2. The experiments of Taekwondo application in the Police physical education show that after the Taekwondo training, the ration of preliminary police using legs and its success rate were significantly increased, that meet the needs of the police mission.3. The principles of Taekwondo application in Police physical education include hitting crucial, attacking enemy by one beat, martial arts as basic, competition as supplement, integration of the essence of WTF and the ITF, concise action, grasping easily, improvement of physical fitness, and developing the interest. The methods of Taekwondo application in the Police physical education contain encouraging and education, competition, assessment in different job species, and typical guiding.4. The organization forms of Taekwondo application in Police physical education:the police having concentrated training in police mass sports, special interest groups, labor unions in cooperation with the nearby Taekwondo center, the public security organs training, and police Taekwondo Association. In the Police Academy, there are Taekwondo elective courses, the second class, and job training three forms. In addition, there is also the form of Taekwondo in the Police competition sports.
