There are a large-scale golf events carrying out at home and abroad and this promote the golf expanding influence in china, take it enter the stage of accelerating development. However, currently it is lack of the research about the golf tournament, especially the research about the structure, management, operation status of junior golf tournament. Based on the condition, through the concerning statistics and date analysis, taking the "CGA—HSBC China Junior Championship" as an example, this paper attempts to analyze the situation and problems of the event, thus propose some solutions.The subjects of this article are the situation and countermeasures of CGA—HSBC China Junior Championship, including 6 Stops HSBC China Junior Championship, HSBC China Junior Championship Final, HSBC China Junior Golf Open, HSBC National Junior Team Championship all this events under the CGA—HSBC China Junior Golf Development Program.Collecting and summarizing relevant research about junior golf events at home and abroad, the paper analyze the statistics and information from 2007 to October 2010 of CGA—HSBC China Junior Championship. On the usage of case study and related management principles, it grasp the characteristics and strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of junior golf tournament that development needs to face, and referring a large number of foreign-related events materials, actively explore the events countermeasures for further development from the angle of event managers, aiming at taking the start for the research on China’s junior golf tournament.This article, by the means of field visiting, case method,expert interview and investigation, first by introduce the golf tournament to lead junior golf tournament, its development at home and abroad. By analyzing, summing up the key stakeholders and characters of junior golf championship, draw the existing problems:1) event planning arrangements unreasonable; 2) contest qualify system are not perfect; 3) organizers and undertakingside rights of responsibilities are confused; 4) event sponsored monotonous forms; 5) events influence not enough, lack of star players; 6) lack of golf training institutions, scientific research institutions; 7) lack the power of connect with international competitions; 8) not give full play to the resources of good players; 9) no TV broadcast, core media less attention, media relation need to ascend. Combining analysis of the status, with SWOT analysis method to analysis event future development strategies, Then propose the problem need to solve, the sustained development countermeasures for event.1) ahead and reasonable formulate event planning; 2)perfect competition system, integrate event resources; 3) organizers and co-organiser division the rights and responsibilities; 4) thinning sponsorship forms, increase sponsors’ rights; 5) increasing star players to event propaganda and promote role; 6) introduction and training of outstanding junior golf coaches; 7) strengthen with foreign connection which have golf powers; 8) establish between players exchange platform, increased competition humanized Settings; 9) increasing PR input, expand event influence. Based on the successful experience of domestic from foreign competition, make some conclusions and recommendations for event. |
