The development of special education is an important tache of enhancingeducational equity and propelling education modernization, it is also animportant measure to adhere to the people-oriented concept and promote thehumanitarian spirit, In recent years, special education in our country hasachieved great developments, the input of all levels of government hasincreased significantly, the level of youth compulsory education for thedisabled children has been raised to a higher degree. Music teachingactivities not only actively lead the students in special education school toparticipating in music activities, but also help them return to the mainstream,into the society, so as to better adapt to society. At present, the overall level ofspecial education in Liupanshui is not high, the conditions of running specialeducation school need to be improved, the number of teachers of specialeducation is limited, and the level of their professional knowledge needs tobe improved. However, with the development of special education speedingup and the level of special education being raised gradually, the aboveproblems will be gradually improved and settled.This paper consists of four parts: the first part starts from the origin of theresearch, summarizes related research results on special music education, andthen it introduces the research method and the concept and related theories ofspecial music education; the second part mainly introduces the basic situationsof special education schools, teachers, parents, the curriculum in Liupanshui;The third part mainly studies the practical problems and their correspondingreasons existing in the development of music education in the development ofspecial education in Liupanshui; the fourth part focuses on how to strengthenmusic education in special education schools.
