Study On The Square Dance Volunteers In Xiangtan City Based On SWOT Analysis

With the continuous improvement of living standards, people pay more andmore attention to the understanding and requirements of health, awareness of healthfitness activities on the participation, which sets off a nationwide fitness activities.Square dance which developed rapidly have become one of the main ways ofexercise.The vigorous development of the square dance career, is inseparable fromthe active participation in the square dance volunteers and the service they provide.In order to ensure the square dance volunteer service quality and the enthusiasm oftheir continuous service, the government should continue to strengthen theorganization and management to keep its incentive. The purpose of this study is toanalysis the square dance volunteers, at the same time, in order to take thecorresponding measures, the problems of voluntary service activities are need to beput forward and do the constant effects to the make sure square dance volunteers toprovide long service.In this study the volunteers in Xiangtan city square dance have been selected byusing the method of literature, questionnaire survey method, interview method,mathematical statistics and comprehensive analysis method to research, invest andanalysis on the basic circumstances of the square dance, volunteer service andmanagement. To gain the reality basis objective, accurate and to promote Xiangtancity square dance volunteers development strategy, the SWOT has been used. Itanalyze the advantages and disadvantages of existing of Xiangtan city square dancevolunteers as well as the development opportunities and the challenges. The resultsshow that: retired elderly people are the main people in Xiangtan city square dancevolunteers. The whole square dance has such traits: cultural level is not high, the sexstructure is not rational, more females than males, the square dance volunteer servicediversity, square dance volunteer service organization is not perfect, the squaredance volunteer’s construction is not perfect and the lack of strong externalenvironment.The analysis of the status of the square dance volunteers in Xiangtan city withthe SWOT analysis method of modern management. The relevant countermeasuresare put forward in view of the existing situation and development of Xiangtan citysquare dance: the formation of social, the government as well as the volunteerorganizer of the three party ability, we have to establish and perfect the square dance competition pattern. the square dance volunteer team need to be build and perfect inolder to attract more talented people. The formulate laws and regulations are need tobe settled for the square dance volunteer service.
