With the advent of the era of economic globalization and network,multiculturalvalue strongly impacts on the ideology of undergraduates.Combined with the thepursuit of undergraduates in new things,enhancement in selfawareness and thecharacteristics of rational thinking is not mature,yet makes the moral educationalwork of university with more challenges.University ceremonies are the refraction ofChinese traditional etiquette culture in university,full of etiquette norms and moraleducation resources in conducts,it contains a powerful moral education function suchbehind activity forms,mainstream value,university culture spirit which can be passedto students in imperceptible conduct effectively.Obviously,university ceremony is atypical hidden moral education curriculum.University ceremonies are important carriers of culture inheritance which canexpress the faith,and strengthen values.University cultural spirits is strengthened andconfirmed,which plays a potential role in undergraduates’ ideology andbehavior.Ceremonies contain the rich moral education resources, and also is aneffective form of university moral education. The function in moral education ofuniversity ceremonies have: emotional experience in potential scenarios of universityceremonies,guiding function in symbolic of university ceremonies,specification insoft constraint function of university ceremonies, cohesion function in the collectiveconsciousness of university ceremonies,cultural heritage in memory storage ofuniversity ceremonies.In recent year,ceremonies are increasingly valued andorganized by university.carefully throughout some excellent university ceremoniescases in university, there is no doubt that moral education of university ceremonieshave made some achievements in different aspects, but at the same time we also seethat ceremonies has the low actual effect in moral education and even the alienation.Inreality the function in moral education of university ceremonies still has not beenfully developed.A series of problems has been appeared in the process oforganizational practice,which makes the university ceremonies on the functions ofmoral education facing more difficulties:Formalization tendency of universityceremonies;Ignoring the of undergraduates’ principle status;Improper operation.Ceremonies are meaningless.From the present situation of university ceremonies,its existing problems anddifficulties do not comport with the function and position of moral education.In order to realize the function of moral education effectively,need to elaborate moraleducation function.To some extent,all these problems hinder the implementation ofthe moral education function,restrict the improvement of moral education that theuniversity ceremonies should have,even cause the deviation from the originalintention of moral education.In order to overcome such difficulties to achieve moraleducation function of university ceremonies,improve effectiveness of moraleducation,we must adhere to the people-oriented,highlighting the function in moraleducation of university ceremonies;Adhere to the optimization design, enrich moraleducation connotation of university ceremonies; Insist on advancing with the times,and strengthening the emotional fit of university ceremonies;Adhere to the overallplanning,form of the resultant force of the moral education of university ceremonies.
