In the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the partyclearly put forward that the ideological and political education is the core of thecollege students’ values education nowadays, and emphasized that strengtheningcollege students’ moral education is one of the tasks to build a harmonious society.College students are different from other social groups. As intellectual groups, theyrepresent the hope of society in the future, so they are expected too much by thesociety generally, especially in the aspect of ideology and morals. But with the rapidchanges of social environment, the ideological situation of college students haschanged a lot. For educators, how to seize the college students’ change in ideologyand morality as the social environment transforms and educate them pointedly is a bigproblem the universities face currently. It is undeniable that the moral situation goesdown in current society at large and brings negative effects on the college students,which makes the situation more serious.This paper adopts the method of the questionnaire survey and theory research.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part elaborates the meaning of studyingcontemporary college students’ moral cognition status. The second part discusses theresults of college students’ moral cognition questionnaire.The third part discusses themain factors of the contemporary college students’ moral cognition. The fourth partputs forward the strategy which can promote the moral cognition. The second part isthe research foundation in this paper and the full text, as a systematical summary,carries on the analysis according to it. The third part provides a condition for thereasons of discussions. The fourth part is the purpose of the study in this paper.Educators always attach importance to the moral education of college students,and the government and the entire society also have enormous expectations on themoral education of college students. Taking facts as the foundation, in terms of thesituation of college students’ moral cognition today, this paper finds the reasons forthese cognitive biases, puts forward the corresponding countermeasures, and plays arole in the theory and practices to improve the current college students’ moraleducation.We know that the moral education of college students, is not only an issueof higher education, but also a social problem. It has a close link with the publicopinion environment, the moral level of the whole society, the development ofeconomic society and so on. To improve the moral level of college students needs notonly the efforts of the educator, but also the participation of the whole society.
