The Research On Current Situation And Development Countermeasures Of Badminton In Universities In Qingdao

In order to adapt to the reform of higher education today, and to enrich the diversity andchoice of college students in extracurricular activities, our colleges and universities have setup different types of electives. Badminton is a sport that it is very charismatic and has afitness value,and for all ages, the preferred sport of lifelong. Therefore,along with the collegeelective badminton popularity gradually become one of the much-loved college electivecourses. Qingdao is the summer training base of the Chinese badminton team,while TsingtaoBrewery badminton team is in the2010to2012National Badminton Super League threeseasons winning three consecutive impressive record,university badminton is setting off awave boom. However,how many colleges and universities, have opened the electivebadminton in Qingdao,and how many colleges and universities do not offer electivebadminton, no one can say what kind of position about the current situation and developmentcountermeasures of badminton in Qingdao. Under the background to study the developmentof the University Badminton sport in Qingdao, not only can find the problems existing in thecourses in badminton, also in order to promote the popularity of badminton sport in collegesand universities and to make a contribution.This paper mainly uses literature, expert interviews, questionnaires, methods ofmathematical statistics, logical analysis and comparison analysis of university badmintonsport in Qingdao to conduct a careful investigation and analysis, hoping to provide atheoretical reference for Qingdao university badminton sport, compensate for the lack oftheoretical aspects of Qingdao university badminton sport. The findings are as follows:1) college students in Qingdao of badminton cognition well, about90percent of the students’knowledge of the technical aspects of badminton, rules, events, etc. understand, there areclose to95%of the students said they liked badminton, and about70percent of collegestudents actively involved in the sport.2) University badminton course of Qingdao carries out not well, there are only nine schoolopenning the courses in the20universities; freshman selects the course is difficult, mostlysophomores, junior students; curriculum is more single, relatively unreasonable arrangement,cannot meet the needs of some students.3) The teachers of University Badminton are middle-aged in Qingdao,59.4%of the totalteachers are more than40years old,lack of professional training and learning opportunitiesfor teachers and in-service teachers in badminton.4) The University Badminton venues are total86in Qingdao, some field obsolescence, lackof timely maintenance,unreasonable use of the venues, students cannot meet the needs of thevenues.5) Lack of the university sports teams and perfect badminton competition system in Qingdao,82.5percent of schools did not participate in provincial and municipal badminton tournament,57.5percent of schools never attended school badminton tournament between the universitiesof Qingdao.
