With the fast development of information and communication technology in themodern times, the field of education is experiencing a profound reform. Throughout thedevelopment of ICT education at home and abroad, it’s not difficult to find that theintegration of the modern information and communication technology with the historycourse can effectively increase the vitality, intuitive and interesting of the history class.Furthermore, it’s helpful to motivate students to learn history, cultivate their abilities inautonomous and cooperative learning and the abilities to analyze and solve problems.However, there’re still some problems which needed to be explored, such as the currentstatus of ICT in the history class, the achievements as well as the existing problems.In this situation, based on the theory of curriculum integration, the authorinvestigates the application situation of ICT resources in history teaching in the perspectiveof the middle schools in the urban district in Suzhou from four aspects, namely, theintegrated development environment, the information literacy of teachers and students, thenetwork protection measures and the modern education technology training. From thesurvey, it can be found that the infrastructure of the middle schools in downtown area ofSuzhou is better, teachers and students are with good basic information literacy and moreemphasis has been placed on curriculum integration. All these lay a good condition for theintegration of ICT with history course. But some problems have also been found, such asfew opportunities for student to study with Internet at school, the need for teachers andstudents to know more about ICT, the necessity of improve the information literacy, etc.According to the existing problems, this paper will try to promote the deep integration ofinformation and communication technology and history course from the perspective ofgovernment’s macro-guidance, the development and apply.
