Academic atmosphere is the soul of a university, which is a concentratedexpression of the spirit of University and the foundation of an University. To someextent, the quality of academic atmosphere can be used as a measure of a universityteaching quality. When it comes to academic atmosphere, we naturally think of thestudents, the majority of current research in domestic revolves around students, whilethe research on teachers’ academic atmosphere is lack of attention."Respect forteachers" is the Chinese nation’s traditional culture. In ancient, we already have the"heaven, earth, emperor, parents and teachers" slogan, Nowadays, praises for teachersare numerous, such as "engineers of human souls,""the most brilliant career under thesun "and so on, these are all reflect the importance of teachers in the development ofhuman society. University teachers shoulder the sacred mission of teaching, who isthe mainstay of quality assurance to higher education and high-quality talentscultivated. Is the so-called "learn to teach, demonstrating behavior", universityteacher’s every word and action, every act and move, will have an impact on students,even as an example for them. Therefore, in the construction of academic atmosphere,teachers should be placed in an important position. On the whole, the current teacherstyle is good, but there are some problems.In this paper, the investigation is based on the academic atmosphere, which isconcentrate on some teachers in Colleges and Universities, systematic analysis theinvestigation result and puts forward to the corresponding countermeasures, in orderto enrich and develop the path and method of university teachers in the constructionof academic atmosphere. Based on existing research at home and abroad, using theself-designed "Questionnaire (universities teachers’ volume)" of seven "211Project"key construction university teachers’ academic atmosphere, conducted a questionnairesurvey, investigated the current situation of teachers’ academic atmosphere, the mainproblems of the current college teachers are summarized and combed. Currently, themain problems of academic atmosphere of college teachers are manifested as thedisorder of academic morality, which is the main research object of this paper. Asmentioned in the questionnaire survey of teachers, the major problems of teachers’academic atmosphere are listed as: in some extent, teachers throw the papers togetherfreely, fabricate and falsify data, plagiarize other’s papers or achievement, ghostwrite papers, multiple contributions with one manuscript, misappropriate others’ academicachievements, forged academic experience, did not adhere to the evaluation criteria,to assist and shield other student on academic misconduct, such behavior hasseriously damaged the academic atmosphere, also caused negative influence to oursociety. The cause of the problems of college teachers can be divided into threeaspects: social reasons, school reasons, and the own reasons of teachers. From thesocial side, the causes mainly are the impaction of social atmosphere, the relevantnational laws and academic standard is not perfect, irresponsible of academic journals,the bad influences of peer group; from the school side, the reasons are the lack ofeducation, the teachers are not play enough roles, the academic system is notconsummate, the investigation in academic atmosphere is not good enough. Fromtheir own side, the main academic norms and moral cognition level is low, deceptionand false problem is serious, laziness, opportunistic, fluke mind and so on. To solvethe problem of academic atmosphere of college teachers, strengthen the constructionof academic atmosphere of college teachers. First, from the teachers themselves, wemust strengthen the moral education, give full play to the leading role. includingstrengthening teachers’ pre-service education, concentrating teachers’ daily education,improving the education of their research integrity. Second, improve the managementsystem to protect their academic atmosphere. Specifically by consummating theappointment system of teachers, perfecting academic evaluation system, buildingethics assessment system. Third, strengthen the management of academic and punishmisconduct. To give full play to the role of Academic Committee, strengthen themanagement in scientific research process, standardize management procedures ofacademic misconduct. Fourth, create a harmonious style of academic atmosphere.Schools should strengthen publicity and education, play educational function ofcampus culture, government and society should create a civilized social environment,provide a good environment for teachers’ construction on academic atmosphere.
