Nowadays, humanity have been backward with the rapid development of science and technology in society. Majority of national education reforms focus on the comprehensions and applications for the science and technology in the21st century, there is a growing tendency for science to be understood by humanities. HPS has been widely concerned by numbers of countries as an important way on humanities education. Now, HPS has been current topic for the international science educational reform. HPS is a theme of scientific literacy, the integrating of the history of science, the philosophy of science and the sociology of science in science education, aims at improving students’ conceptions of the nature of science, helping students to make their decisions on individual or social affairs. But the value of HPS has been ignored in Chinese science educational reform, no significant measures can be taken. Teachers and students have misunderstandings of the nature of science. The old teaching and learning ways has bad effects on the fully development of studentsBased on the literature, this paper studies the theory of teaching and learning of HPS:(1)the nature of science in HPS (2) The dialectical unification of logic and history (3) the theory of correcting misconception. Using the foreign advanced models of HPS teaching for reference,the paper analyses two cases in the first grade of high school physical curriculum by using the model of dialogue teaching, and on the foundations of above studies, conclusions are given that the model of dialogue teaching for HPS is of benefit to the teaching of the nature of science in Chinese present education.
