The recent years, saw the rapid development of oundertakings for disabled persons inChina. As the formulation and implementation of the “Protection of Disabled Persons”,“Labor Ceontract Law” and the “Regulations on employment of Disabled persons”,the legitimate environment for the management of the undertakings for disabled persons isincreasing and significant deployment has been made in special education and employmentfor the disabled.Besides, government support for the management of the undertakings fordisabled persons is increasing and significant deployment has been made in specialeducation and employment for the disabled. Last August, the organizing Department of theCentral committee of the Communist Party of China, together with other six departments,issued “the Guiding Rules on promoting the Disabled to Employ in Proportion”.Andthis, January, the Ministry of Education and other six departments formulated “theSpecial Education Promotion plan (2014-2016)”, indicating that the undertakings fordisabled persons in China has got a fast developmental pace.China has the largest number of people with hearing impairment in the world, Alongwith the rapid development of higher education undertakings for the disabled, the numberof deaf college students increased year by year. After graduation, those deaf collegestudents faced with challenges due to various social environmental factors.How is thesocial adaptability for deaf college graduates?What are the problems?What are the deepreasons for these problems?This is the focus of this paper. There are abundant domesticand foreign researches on community social adaptation, but domestic research on the deafcollege graduates,social adaptation from the perpectives of sociology, anthropology andspecial education is still in its infancy, with rare academic achievements,especially thedomestic qualitative research with those subjects. Therefore, the author attempted to studyin view of this orientation. With the method of qualitative research, based on in-depthinterviews, the author described the social adaptation situations of ten deaf collegegraduates on the four aspects of economy, life, psychology and culture. And with the“Boulogne Finn Brenner Ecosystem theory”, from the five levels of micro, meso,appearance, macro and history, the factors affecting the social adaptation of deaf college graduates were analyzed.In this paper, the finding in society situation and causes that it is a good quality, highlevel of bilingual, well-informed and has good reading habits to strengthen communicationinitiative to the mainstream of society.They have good psychological quality byself-confidence and a certain art force when they hasn’t discouraged in the face ofdifficult employment discrimination and they has willing to accept that professionalmismatch by low-end jobs.They can be competent for the work in the workplace and hashigher professional loyalty that they have a certain expertise and ability.They haveeconomy consciousness and understand finance and independent life ability.Theremarriage concept is correct which get along with harmony.Although relations existcommunication difficulty,they like to make friends and get along with hearing people.Theyhave a correct understanding about their own identity and can take the initiative to improvetheir social adaptation ability.They has recognize the deaf culture and has good at makingfull use of modern media function to learn knowledge and exchange information.Thesecond that exist differences in language and way of thinking which leads tomiscommunication by some college graduates of the deaf and hearing people.They hasprofessional mismatch which the ability to work hard and economic income is generallynot high which the spiritual life is dull.Because social environment support system isn’tperfect and they has lact of scientific family education and deaf school education close tocause inadequate breadth and depth of experience of the world.It is limited that lack ofinformation awareness of the formation of things.It has discrimination phenomenonbecause of the existence of the traditional stigmatized conception,etc.In the end, the paper put forward the counter measures and strategies to promote thesocial adaptation of the deaf college graduates, namely, to establish a new mode of familyeducation with strengthening communication ability as the key; to optimize schooleducation and teaching methods with enhancing social adaptation ability as the core; toimprove and innovate the local social support system with constructing a harmonious asthe guiding rule.
