This study uses the method of social cognitive domain theory to explores3-6-year oldchildren’s Ability to distinguish moral and conventional rules,as well as other factor related tothis Ability,such as Child Tempermant and Parenting styles.154parents and their childrenfrom the kindergarten attached to Northeast Normal University took part in thisinvestigation.The study is divided into two parts:The first study is that children madejudgment about the permissibility,contingency on rules and authority sanctions,inalterability,generalizability, punishment deserved for familiar moral and conventionaltransgressions.Age difference and gender difference are also examined. In the secondstudy,Parents were queried CRPR and CBQ to report their Parenting style and ChildTempermant.The result indicate:(1)3-6-year old children distinguished between moral and conventional issues in terms ofthe permissibility,inalterability,generalizability,deserved punishment criteria,but notcontingency on rules and authority sanctions.Children view moral transgressions are lesspermissible, less alterable, more generalizably wrong,and more deserving of punishment thanconventional transgressions.Age difference and gender difference for3-6-year old children’sAbility to distinguish moral and conventional rules are not found.(2) Tempermantal Effortful control was positively associated with Paternalencouragement and acceptance.Tempermantal Effortful control predicted3-6-year oldchildren’s Ability to distinguish moral and conventional rules.Paternal encouragement andacceptance predicted children’s Ability to distinguish moral and conventional rules.(3) Parenting styles has mediate effects in the association between Child Tempermantand Ability to distinguish moral and conventional rules. Paternal encouragement andacceptance was a full mediator between Tempermantal Effortful control and Ability todistinguish moral and conventional rules.
