Ideological and political theory course is the main channel of Ideological and politicaleducation of College Students. It undertakes the task of Marx’s theory education on CollegeStudents, Classroom teaching is the main way. It guides college students to firm ideal andbeliefs and foster correct world outlook, outlook on life and values. It embodies the essence ofsocialist university. Last decade, ideological and political theory course has made remarkableachievements in terms of discipline construction, organization guarantee, course construction,teaching material construction, construction of teaching staff and the innovation of teachingmethods. However, at the same time, there are still problems needed to resolve.This thesis includes four parts. The first part is an overview of the main channel ofideological and political education for college students, including the scientific connotationand the establishment basis of the main channel of ideological and political education,relationship of the main channel and position of ideological and political education, threereforms of ideological and political education. The second part summarizes the reform ofIdeological and political theory at discipline construction, organization guarantee, courseconstruction, teaching material construction, construction of teaching staff and the innovationof teaching methods. The third part is about the urgent problems of ideological and politicaltheory course. The fourth part is to put forward the corresponding strategies according to theproblems existing in the main channel of ideological and political education of collegestudents.
