Northeast Normal University, oil painting department is one of the oldest department in the academy of fine arts. It has grown in strength since the oil painting department established. In the field of teaching reform again and again.After the introduction of advanced teaching model combined with the actual situation of their own transformation,formed a modern, scientific and diverse teaching styles today.This development process is not only in line with the law of development of art, but also the improvement of the education system of professional art.Teaching achievements of the oil painting department should be affirmed,because not only nurtured many outstanding professional teachers, more training like many famous painters.In this case,investigate and combing the status of the oil painting department is very necessary.Based on objective investigation,research on countermeasures,The purpose is to promote the our department to maintain our own characteristics and move forward.Therefore,this paper conducted a comprehensive analysis and research on the oil painting department has practical significance.This article attempts to investigate and analysis the development process, teaching achievements and the teaching mode of the Oil Painting Department.In summing up the historical experience and reflect at the same time,collected data and information to do deeper research, hoping to find valuable problem.
