Since the latter of the twentieth century, the body has been the focus of increasing attention in a wide range of disciplines. In sociological community, female body has been discussed by plenty of scholars, only from theory, not from practice. The popular view on female body is that the female body which is vulnerable to be constructed by society is the focus of social power control. But I hope to analyze the various words from the perspective of women on the female body, exploring the possibility of "self-construction". The paper combined quantitative methods with qualitative methods, trying to find the reason for women to lose weight. The paper is composed of six chapters. The first chapter introduces the background of the article and some relative documents on body research. The second chapter introduces the concepts. The chapter three tries to explore the fact of construction of the female body by counting the questionnaire. In chapter four and five, it finds that female body has the social construction, such as the eyes, the capital, the media and discourse, and also self-construction included, based on a questionnaire study and interview. The chapter tries to draw a conclusion from the above discussion. This paper questioned the traditional view, such as lose weight for the male. In patriarchal society lasting nearly two thousand years, the society has various standards of female body to force women to accept, reflecting the social construction of female body. However, with the development of society and the liberation of female freedom, nowadays, women are able to abandon social standards and construct their own body, following their own physical and psychological feelings. This is not only a major step forward about liberation of female body, but also opens up discursive space from "show-style body" to "feel-style body".
