Body?Power And Action In The Field Of Health Care For Pregnant Women

Maternity behavior is a kind of life behavior that accompanies the birth,reproduction and development of human beings.In the traditional society,female reproduction is an individual behavior.In the 21 st century,it is no longer a universal life course.The formation and development of medical science has transformed motherhood from a natural biological behavior to a medical practice that is interfered with by medicine.Nursing and health care during pregnancy have gradually changed from family-type care to medical field.Specific conduct directed by a medical professional.With the development of modern national ideology,in order to improve the quality of the population and the quality of national health,countries have used medical technology to achieve the control and intervention of women's physical and reproductive behavior.The propaganda discourse such as "eugenics and eugenics" and "prevention of birth defects" has continued as the slogan of the new era.It reflects not only the family's expectations for healthy babies,but also the country's requirements for improving the quality of the population.Under the combined force of modern obstetric medicine and state control,the pregnant woman's body is built into a "medicalized" body.The process of pregnancy and childbirth for women is established as a medical problem: medical examination before marriage,pregnancy preparation,health care during pregnancy,hospitalization during childbirth,and medical care and guidance during the puerperium.This article is an empirical study,using qualitative research methods,using Foucault's body theory,social construction theory,power and action theory to analyze.Through a case study of maternal health services in the urban grassroots community health system,this paper explores the performance,practice and operation of the female body,power structure and action strategy in the maternal health field,and further reflects on the medicalized construction of female maternal behavior.Throughthis study,it is found that the female reproductive action in modern society is influenced by many factors.The construction of women's physical medicine in modern medical society is mainly realized through three aspects: The progress of modern obstetrics has constructed medical scientism,and its control of reproductive risks has shaped the "safe delivery and prevention of birth defects".Medical mythology,from the practical effect,modern medicine is now widely trusted and dependent by the society.In pursuing the goal of modernization,the state must take into account the macro-development factor of the country's population,and the starting point of the state's population policy is to improve the population quality of the whole society,through the use of state power and the adoption of socialist medical care.It has achieved the control of the people's fertility,and at the same time,it is also responsible for maintaining the safety of mothers and children.Medicine and the state work together to construct practical actions and physical experiences of women's maternity medicine,but at the same time they also construct women's subjective cognition of body medicine.This cognition is formed in the interaction process between women and the medical system and social support.Through the construction of body,movement,and cognition,women's pregnancy care has gradually been "medicalized." In this process,it also involves the collision and competition from multiple powers(state,female body,medical science).Faced with the influence of multiple factors,women will adopt different action strategies and interact and negotiate with medicine.In the process,Women's medical perception of the body has gradually been established.Through the study,the author concludes that at present,pregnancy care for urban women in China has become a medical process of scientific guidance,disease prevention,medical diagnosis,medical intervention and specialization.Through the results of empirical investigation,we can see that the overall effect of this medical social construction is perfect and ideal,but in the process of construction,it is also challenged by multiple obstacles such as economy,culture,and resources.The modern society,the formation of life to the birth of the process,it is difficult to avoid the influence and intervention of medical care onit,the social construction of medical care during pregnancy to the society's message:We are in an era of medical discipline.
