College’s education through practice of is an important way for characterdevelopment. College’s ideological and political education through practice is asystem consists of goal system, content system, organization and managementsystem, guarantee system and appraisal system. During the process ofeducation-through-practice, these sub-systems interact with each other and formedinto a organic whole of certain functions, levels and structures. In the system, thegoal system defines the content system; in contrast, the content system reflects thegoal system. The organization and management system operates and realizes thecontent system. The guarantee system supports the content system and appraisalsystem back-feeds it. The key features of this system are subjectivity, systematicness,openness and effectiveness. To discuss from the angle of the education effect, it helpsset up the ideals and faiths, stimulates the intellectual impetus, improves moralcultivation and develops comprehensive quality.In recent years, domestic scholars did some useful researches on view practice,tacit knowledge theory and Individual socialization theory. Meanwhile, AnhuiUniversity of Architecture, East China University of Science and Technology andChina Jiliang University did some active explorations in the construction of theeducation-through-practice system, and made some progress in form and content,organization and management and pattern and system. However, in the design of thetop-level, guarantee system and appraisal system are yet to be advanced. There for, itis necessary to follow the principles of targeted, subjectivity and systematicness, anddesign the top-level of the system of ideological and political education throughpractice to construct a complete system of ideological and political education throughpractice. To be more specific, there is a way that can take into consider, firstly, toclear objectives and ideas, including following the students’ law of growth and tohighlight the students’ subjectivity. Secondly, enrich the contents and forms,including take more effective use of the practicing time, innovate more practiceforms and expend more ways of taking part in the practical activities. Thirdly, reinforce organization and management, including strengthen the support ofgovernment and the society. Fourthly, optimize the surroundings and guarantee,including optimize the institutional guarantee, fund guarantee and base guarantee.Fifthly, complete assessments and evaluations, including well-defined appraisal goals,standard organizations, detailed evaluation index and completed evaluation methods.Developing the ability of practice is a system project which needs the effort ofthe college, the family and the students themselves. Each college should takeeffective steps basing on the principles of college and ideological and politicaleducation through practice. Meanwhile, to make further progresses, it is necessary totrack and do some empirical research on the construction and the effects of thesystem of education-through-practice.
