How to measure the relationship betweeneducation and economic is important in theory and practice.Xinjiang lies in the westof china,the economic development is slower than the south regions,education is oneof the important ways to make us carry up with developed regions.therefore,it’snecessary to study this field systematically,thereby we can derive the useful policyimplications for future development implications for future development.This paper focuses on the contribution of education to the economic growth bothby theory and demonstration.In the aspect of theory analysis, first of all review and comb the researchachievements in this field both at home and abroad,secondly in higher educationdevelopment in Xinjiang and its investment and development situation of theeconomy are expounded.In the empirical analysis: first of all, by calculating thexXinjiang higher education investment and the correlation coefficient between GDPto prove that the dependent relationship between them, and then through the timeseries stationarity test, cointegration test, granger causality test to test and analyze the education investment and economic development between the correlation and causalreason and briefly describes the interaction of the two.Finally, based on the conclusion of the above analysis, combined with the currenthigher education development in Xinjiang and some problems existing in theirinvestment, targeted put forward some countermeasures and Suggestions of referencevalue.
