| China has the largest adolescent population in the world. The number of the young between15and24years old is about180million which consists of13%or more of the total. Each year about22million youngsters are entering into the sex mature period and the senior students are becoming mature both physically and psychologically. It’s a very urgent task to let them know much about the adolescent health knowledge and make them be aware of the harm effects of premarital sex. At the same time, helping them to set up a healthier attitude towards sex and developing a good virtue about sex are very important. However, lacking of the sex education leads to many problems, especially for the development of the young. Without the proper guidance and education in sex health, adolescences are at a loss when they meet problems about sex during the key period.This study does systematical research to some related issues, by interviews and questionnaire investigation. The result shows some problems in three aspects. First, Sex education in some schools is still in its preliminary stage and lack of successful experience, while other schools don’t give any sex education for adolescents. Second, adolescents have inadequate access to sex knowledge. Third, a majority of families don’t know how to communicate with their children. After analysis and discussion on those problems, some suggestions put forward. First of all, our country should pay attention to sexual health education and clear the importance of it to schools. Publish relevant policies, laws and regulations as soon as possible, and urge schools to teach in accordance with the law. Second, these schools should develop and compile the teaching material, train teachers, arrange class times and carry out health education duly and appropriately. Third, there are some specific application strategies of school adolescent education. Finally, schools should help parents to educate there children and strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with parents, etc. |
