Practical Exploration On Social Work Intervention In The Process Of Ascension Of Urban Villages Women’s Resilience

With the development of economic and urbanization, the expansion of someeconomically developed cities in recent years brings many villages into urban map,that is why a special area--“Urban Villages” has been formed. However, owing to the“Urban Villages”, most women in that suffering many pressure, including rural landdisputes, the economic burden, exclusion from peer groups,as well as the pressurefrom children, disease, public and so on. How do the women in urban villages faceand solve the problem with a positive and healthy attitude? How do they improvetheir ability to overcome adversity when they under pressure? The answer needed tobe solved urgently.The study focus on the subject “Improve women’s resilience in urban villages bysocial work intervention”. With the methods of interviewing, participant observationand field research, the author has learned the living condition and the plight of thewomen in urban villages, as well as the necessity of the subject. That is mean, it is alearning process to improve women resilience in urban villages by social workintervention. Then, the author will enhance the resilience of women in urban villagesby using social work intervention strategies: case study and group work. In addition,the study will improve the ability to solve problem and find their own potential ofwomen in urban villages with advantage perspective. At last, the author conclude that,in the front of difficulties and pressure, the urban village women is generally low, butby the intervention of social work, their resilience in the recovery and enhanceunceasingly, the author advocates not only to explore urban village women’s ownstrength, and combining the resources of the government, society, and the power ofthe social worker, for urban village women play a role of promoting the art of power,improve their social status, and then accelerate the development of China’surbanization process.
