With the popularity of online shopping, the online shopping addiction hasbecome an emerging social problem. This problem manifests as physiological andpsychological discomfort because of some e-shoppers’ excessive and unrestrainedusing of network media. Besides, this problem even has affected their normalrelationship and social life. Although people have realized the online shoppingaddiction trend, there’re almost few in-depth studies on the phenomenon of onlineshopping addiction yet.This dissertation selects some undergraduate online shopping addicts as theresearch object. For one hand, considering the college students are importantparticipants of the online shopping activities; And for the other hand, as the collegestudents are in an important period of socialization, providing their a correctbehavior guidance on online shopping is very important. The essay tries to researchthe performance of the college students’ online shopping addiction, judgmentstandard, addictive factors, the formation process, coping strategies and so on byuse the methods of literature research, questionnaire investigation and interview.And attempt to do a preliminary interpretation of the college students’ onlineshopping addiction.The dissertation points out: First, point out that online shopping time, purpose,psychological and behavior are judge index of college students’ online shoppingaddiction or not, and that compulsive, tolerance, withdrawal, excitability, recurrentand conflict are the six standards can be applied to determine online shoppingaddiction. Second, that the social factors, individual factors, the online shoppingexperience, and online media factor are the most important factors of collegestudents’ online shopping addiction. Undergraduate online shopping addicts isvulnerable to social factors such as network consumerism, abnormal socialnetworks and social pressure; Undergraduates with individual personality ofintroverted, low self-control addicted to online shopping more easily. Andobjective factors such as education, economic conditions, geographical location ispart of the factors which influence undergraduate online shopping addicts;Undergraduate online shopping addict s’ special media experience of onlineshopping and shopping experience have promoted its addiction; Online mediafeatures such as convenient and instant attract part of the undergraduates’ addiction.Third, Online shopping addiction is divided into this “immersion”,“addiction” and“withdrawal” stages.“Immersion” stage first performs as undergraduate addicts’ unilateral dependence on online media, interactive communication and diversifiedservices that online shopping provide urge college students into the “immersion”state;“Addiction” stage characterized by a variety of cognitive distortions,negative emotions relieve as well as the reinforcement promote undergraduateaddicts “addiction”; The improvement of undergraduate addicts’ media using skills,the attenuation of the meet and the accumulation of social pressure are powers for“withdrawal” stage. Fourth, stand in the early warning, intervention and auxiliarythree aspects to explore the coping strategies of college students’ online shoppingaddiction, and try to provide a healthy guidance for this emerging socialphenomenon.
