Background:According to the global digital survey(2018),the total number of worldwide internet users worldwide from 2005 to 2018 was 3.9 billion and January 2019 as of the measured period,almost 4.4 billion people were active internet users,and 3.5 billion were social media users.Principally,Asia has the highest number of Internet users in the world,approximately 922.3 million,representing 44%share of the world's Internet user population,according to data by Internet World Stats.At the one decade,the internet has changed human lifestyles,and it harms daily student life.The adverse effects including physically and mentally problem had decrease student Social Competence and coping strategies on real life.Objectives:the aims of these studies were to explore the relationship between coping strategies,social competence,and Internet Addiction.Specifically,social competence and coping strategies can predict Internet Addiction,and the coping strategies is a mediator between social competence and Internet Addiction;and to discover the effectiveness of CBT Program in order to improve copying style and social competence among Chinese and Indonesian colleges in Wuhan.Method:Chinese and Indonesian students in Wuhan have been participating in this study.The total number is 344 students,which is involving into three studies included the pilot study.i)A Pilot study investigation to obtain the Model Fit of instruments;ii)achieved the mediation effect between measure variable;iii)Applying for the CBT program to change the lifestyle on the internet.This study using quantitative approached such as Descriptive statistic,process macro,One-way ANOVA and ANCOVA repeated measures analysis.Results:The main finding revealed some of the demographic aspects,and social competence has impact whereas it is not significant to internet addiction;otherwise coping strategies have been signing as a predictor on internet addiction behavior.The mean score for pre-test is 60.0,post-test 1 is 61.5,and post-test 2 is 45.2.It is significant statically meanwhile the posttest immediately,had been increase 1.5 scores but in the post-test 2 the score of internet addiction reduce 25.2 points.GC share different progress in the each time(Pretest to post test 2)but the decrease value had not significance.Regarding the CBT strategies through given worksheet tasks method revealed that students in the experimental(CBT)has been change the lifestyle on using internet being healthy and enjoy their life.Therefore this addiction could not be the mental disorder as long as students have the adaptive behavior on coping strategies to be able to control their emotion in order not to jeopardize them.The Therapeutic CBT program implied to change the lifestyle involved in the whole students' thoughts,feelings,and behavior.
