Since the1960s, Orff music activities are widely used in educational intervention and treatment of children with autism abroad, it has been formed as a mature music therapy mode. Numerous studies show that the form and content of Orff Music Therapy makes the vast majority of autistic children have a joyful musical experience, but also has a positive impact on their perception of various aspects of the development of sports, social interaction and so on. It is a late start for domestic in this area, all aspects of the treatment process, the content, the specific implementation, and evaluation is still in the exploratory stage, only a master’s thesis Orff music therapy for children with autism in the individual training conducted reports, studies involving peer learning and group activities almost none. Based on the research scholars of Orff Music Therapy for autistic children, a five-month treatment was conducted on a7-year-old (Xiao Yi) children with autism in the school environment. This study aims to inquire the holistic development in the various fields after the autistic children receiving Orff Music Therapy treatment. Induction and summarized for autistic children Orff Music Therapy implementing processes, methods, suggestions and outlook are given by the author.Several findings have been obtained in this research. Firstly, the effects of Orff Music Therapy for children with autism are positive. Its rich and flexible activities provide a way for autistic children musical perception, body movements, verbal expression, emotional experience opportunities. It also effectively promotes their perception of movement, the overall development of all aspects of social interaction, language and communication, cognitive and so on. Especially in the field of cognitive, language, communication field, the field of social interaction was significant progress. Secondly, correctly grasping the core concept of Orff music therapy, ecological assessment, development of individualized treatment programs, the appropriate select of treatment and material content, timely developmental assessment are the key of treatment effect. Thirdly, the form of peer activities and group activities has a positive impact on children with autism. Fourthly, the cooperation of the child’s parents and teachers play an important role in the treatment. Fifthly, Meaningful and practical induction and summarized for autistic children Orff Music Therapy implementing processes, methods are given by the author.
