In the21st century, the development of science and technology, new knowledge,new technology constantly emerging, learn to learn or even pursue life-longeducation will become the survival and development needs. Therefore, our basiceducation stage of school education focuses on cultivating students ability ofautonomous learning, self education, learning to learn.Change the way of the new curriculum reform also emphasizes the studentslearning, advocating building dominated by teachers, students as the main body of"autonomous learning" mode, in the "basic education curriculum reform outline" putforward "pay attention to cultivate the students independence and autonomy, guidestudents to question, investigate to explore, learn in practice, promote the studentsactively under teachers guidance, rich individual character of learning." As a worldlanguage, English in our country there are thousands of people in the study, using theenvironment because of the lack of good communication, however, is difficult to"acquisition", mainly through the way of "learning". So English teaching and learningis the key, especially the learners autonomous learning ability, is very important toEnglish learning, just as the famous foreign language teaching experts M. West said:"a foreign language is to learn, not the church". English teaching process, the key isnot we taught the students how many words or a few language points, but is how todevelop the students ability of autonomous learning. Of course, cultivation ofautonomous learning ability, doesnt happen overnight, and need to constantlyconduct scientific "intervention", even learners who need to comply with its ownguidelines.So what is autonomous learning? What is the strategy? For this special group ofstudents, what are their characteristics in learning English? How their level of learnerautonomy? In their independent learning which needs the guidance? How toconstruct to reflect the system guidance strategies for students of Englishautonomous learning effectiveness? A series of problems will become the focus ofthe study in this paper. In the course of the study, the author will use the survey method,questionnaires were administered to students in grades3-5to W primary schoolEnglish autonomous learning situation, analysis of the factors affecting theautonomous learning, students in the learning of English instruction needs; at thesame time, the W primary school in-service English teachers were interviewed,analysis of deficiencies in the current guidance consciousness English class, teachersin the autonomous learning guidance on the method from the teachers point of view,to explore how to guide the students to form the independent English learningstrategies. Finally, the cases presented in the way of policy guidance W Primaryindependent learning English used in the process of detailed analysis and reflection.
