Learning English adjective degrees are the necessity for the Mongolian students during the junior high school. Many researchers have studied about English adjective degrees. But there are not many studies about comparison between English and other languages adjective degrees. Even comparison between English and Mongolian adjective degrees are empty at present. In this paper, first of all, the author finds out the similarities and differences of English and Mongolian adjective degrees. Then the author masters basic situation of learning English adjective degrees on Mongolian junior high school students. And the author traines the Mongolian junior high school students to understand the similarities and differences of English and Mongolian adjective degrees. At last, the author tries to understand the learning English adjective degrees’effect of the students after the training.An experimental research is conducted in42Mongolian junior high school students of Ba Xiantong Mongolian School to see if Mongolian-English adjective degrees similarities and differences have any influence on their English adjective degrees’learning. From the pre-test, the author investigates Mongolian junior high school student’s basic situation of learning English adjective degrees. On the basis, the comparison between Mongolian and English adjective degrees are used in their English adjective training. The result shows that the students have made progress in their English adjective degrees’ learning after the training. This thesis consists of five chapters:Chapter one is the introduction, it introduces the background of the thesis, significance of the research and structure of the thesis.Chapter two is the literature review, it displays the relevant theoretical foundation of the research, including a brief review of the contrastive analysis theory and error analysis theory. At the same time, the author put forwards relevant researches, including comparative studies between Mongolian adjective degrees and other language adjective degrees, comparative studies between English adjective degrees and other language adjective degrees and comparative studies between Mongolian and English.Chapter three raises two research questions. First research question is that what are the similarities and differences of English and Mongolian adjective degrees. Second research question is that what are the influences of English-Mongolian adjective degrees differences and similarities on English adjective degrees’learning among Mongolian junior high school students. And second research question is based on first research question.Chapter four is the experimental part. It displays procedure of the experimental research, the research purpose, the research tools and the research hypothesis. The research tools includes pre-test, post-test and interview.the purpose of the pre-test is to understand basic situation of Mongolian junior high school students on learning English adjective degrees. Through the analysis and discussion of post-test, the author understands the learning English adjective degrees’effect of the students after the training. At last, the author do interviews to further understand the learning English adjective degrees’effect of the students.Chapter five is the conclusion part. It offers main research findings of the research and points out the limitations of the research. At the same time, the author gives recommendations for further researches in the field.
