It is very important for English learners to learn the reading in English learning.The students must study hard if students want to learn reading better. The teachersshould guide the students to improve themselves. Nowadays, teachers have realized thatthey can change to be the subsidiaries, participants and learners, and as task-basedteaching is one of teaching approachs, ministry of education and educator think it isvery important to research. But in the school where the author has the internship, thestudents have not realized the task-based teaching, nor the teachers apply this approachto classes. The teachers have not popularly shown the students the task-based teaching.So this paper will try to solve the following questions according to the task-basedteaching in the reading class in senior high school: first of all, whether the task-basedteaching could apply to the reading teaching in senior high school or not;secondly,according to the task-based teaching,if the teaching design could improve the students’reading interest; thirdly, teaching design of this paper could improve the cooperativeability in class;the last one is that this paper will explore a feasible mode to implementtask-based teaching and give a teaching reflection.The paper will research the following parts step by step: first of all, after asummary of the research on home and broad, we find the improvement andinsufficience of this approach; secondly, the author will elaborate some associatedtheories to set up the theoretical foundation; thirdly, the author will analyze thequestions and know how to deal with these questions after the research of the currentsituation for task-based teaching in the reading class in senior high school; fourthly, inorder to check whether teaching design is adaptive or not, the teaching design will beapplied in the reading class.All in all, it is feasible to apply in the reading class according to the interviewsurvey and observation. Task-based teaching can improve the students’ reading skills,reading interest and their cooperative abilities. What’ more, we should pay attention tothe difficulty of task, students’ individual differences and control of time after theself-examination on task-based teaching. The deficiencies of this research are as follows: the class implement is not very typical; the time of research can be more longer; we canuse more methods to check the task-based teaching. In order to make the researchbecome more efficiently and reliably, We can take these above factors into account nexttime.
