Organic Chemistry is an important branch of Chemistry, because grasping the knowledge of Organic Chemistry is playing the key role for improving scientific literacy of students and enhancing their operating abilities. Mastering this knowledge systemically and coherently is a chief way to making it work. China has promulgated a new high school chemistry curriculum standard and put it into practice, also uses new textbooks of Organic Chemistry. During these years, reforms have been made in teaching of Organic Chemistry. The arranging of textbooks of high school chemistry "Organic Chemistry Elective5based" is scientific and orderly. The teaching content is based on the simple and basic knowledge, while in college, it is a higher level of teaching organic chemistry, focusing on the application of knowledge and the improving of ability. From this point of view in comparison these two stages, Organic Chemistry of college has achieved a higher level in theoretical level and breadth, depth and difficulty of the Organic Chemistry knowledge. These two stages are related in the Organic Chemistry knowledge. The teaching of knowledge for teachers and the learning process of students both ignore the relations between high school and college. So, it becomes very important to associate the high school knowledge with college knowledge. The purpose of the research is to propose several effective ways to achieve relevance in classroom teaching organic chemistry knowledge among high school and college.and to provide some practical reference value for teachers to take effective means to improve students’scientific literacy and the practical ability. So this paper selects the People’s Education Press high school curriculum standard textbook,"Chemistry Elective5-organic chemistry-based" and Higher Education Press WangXiaoLan series "Organic Chemistry" by the Institute as a textbook basing on the structure of thought Bruner’s cognitive, constructivist learning theory and Ausubel’s meaningful learning theory. It makes the comparison in organic chemistry textbook distribution, content knowledge and the presentation of knowledge in textbooks between high school and college by using comparative research. Using the questionnaire survey method to make the investigation for present situation of applying knowledge of Organic Chemistry in high school and college. It makes out following results:first, organic chemistry knowledge between high school and college shows the association from three levels, and the implications for organic chemistry teaching. Second, students and teachers can realize these associations, but not very deeply, and they don’t apply this point fully, either. From the analysis and investigation, it can be seen that:first, changes of organic chemistry knowledge in high school and college in the range of knowledge, breadth and depth are the premise of producing the associations between these two stages of knowledge. Second, the enriching of students’cognitive structure and the improving of learning ability is the condition of applying the associations in teaching the organic chemistry knowledge of high school and college. Third, the degree of realizing these associations has an effect on applying them. From the reflection and analysis for these conclusions above, combined with excellent chemistry teachers’reference, some effective methods of applying the organic chemistry knowledge in high school and college have been explored, such as review method, questioning method, classification method, exercises penetration method and so on. Although the students were generally able to recognize the associations in the organic chemistry knowledge between high school and college, the degree is not deep. During the process of teaching the organic chemistry, these methods can improve the degree of recognizing the associations, enrich students’cognitive structure, and enhance students’learning abilities, finally to achieve the purpose of transferring knowledge, learning and applying with full vigor.
