At present, social comparison is a common phenomenon in the middle school tostudents, but the junior middle school students will have a series problem in the socialcomparison,s environmental conditions. Therefore, this study takes the junior middleschool students as the research object, in order to understand the academic orientation,different direction and results of social comparison, and the academic pressure ofindividual. In addition, it discusses the academic self-efficacy as an intermediary playa role in social comparison and pressure of academic. The middle school students ofXiMeng as a unit subject to get396effective questionnaires through the questionnairesurvey and collective measurement method. Application of the method of correlationanalysis and regression analysis to all the subjects, analyzed the relationship theacademic social comparison, academic self-efficacy, and the academic stress. Theresults show that:1. The whole of the stage to junior middle school students, over half of middleschool students like comparing with peer in the process of learning, but there aredifferences in the comparison orientation, comparison direction and comparisonresult.2. The overall of academic self-efficacy is good which junior middle schoolstudents. This is easy to understand when we compare the difference that result scoresthat the class cadre is higher than not, children without siblings is higher than childrenwith siblings, The second grade is higher than the first grade, the third grade is thelowest.3. The whole of academic pressure beyond the medium level to the junior middleschool, especially anticipant pressure and competitive pressure is the maximum,second, which is setback pressure and mission requirements pressure. From theanalysis of the differences of view, the degree of academic pressure is boys less thangirls, the class cadre is higher than non-class cadre, the only child of a family is lessthan not, and with the increase of the grade, academic pressure present a rising trend.4. It has a significant positive correlation between social comparison and academicself-efficacy; Academic social comparison and academic pressure was significantlypositive correlation. However, it has a significant negative correlation betweenacademic self-efficacy and academic pressure, the individual’s academic self-efficacyplay a part influence in academic social comparison and academic pressure. In otherwords, the academic self-efficacy, academic social comparison has less of an effect onacademic pressure.
