Dan Zhou is one of the most populous county in Hainan province, however theeconomy and culture in Dan Zhou area is not the most developed. The local people havemore and more realized that the development of education is the first step for thedevelopment of Dan Zhou. But, at present, the current education status of Dan Zhou is not sooptimistic. As for the middle school mathematics education, there is much more to bedeveloped.I have experienced three years of middle school mathematics education in Dan Zhou,and I have deeply realized the eager pursuit of progress of local students and the expectationof the parents to cultivate children into someone in these three years. At the same time, Ihave also felt that the math study of students is so difficult and frustrated, the parents andteachers is so helpless and worried in the face of the low grade. So this paper analyzes thereason of the decline in middle school students to enter high school grades, find thecorresponding solution strategy is urgent.This is a focus in the study of this article.In this paper, the interpretation of mathematics score in junior and senior high schoolstage among more than1000high school graduates in2013in Dan Zhou area, the analysisof the overall trend of the development in Dan Zhou area junior high school students to entersenior high school math, found that nearly30percent of the students have decline ofdifferent degrees. Then, by a group of students to fall in math subjects for furtherinvestigation, found that the correlation between middle school math and high schoolmath,the correlation between high school math and other high school subjects, thecorrelation between the gender differences and high school math.In addition, through the survey and interview among the high three grade students,students’ parents and some high school teachers in Dan Zhou area, so as to find the reasonsfor the decline in math score: the reasons of teaching materials, teachers, parents studentsthemselves. Finally, according to the features of the education in Dan Zhou area, put forwardfeasible and effective countermeasures for the cause of students decline in math scores.
