Since ancient times, South Korea and China have maintained close contacts,South Korea is an important part of the Chinese cultural circle. Especially in recentyears, with China’s economic development, the economic and trade exchangesbetween China and South Korea have become ever closer. The gradually increase ofeconomic and cultural exchanges promotes the status of Chinese language. With therise of "Chinese fever" in South Korea, the demand for native Chinese languageteachers is increasing in Korea. In response to this demand, Hanban (Office ofChinese Language Council International) annually undergo a rigorous selection andtraining, to transport hundreds of South Korean high-level Chinese language teachers. Here the teaching of Chinese in Daejeon is analyzed by the example of DongshanHigh School. Now, nearly all primary and secondary schools in Daejeon offerChinese language courses, but the energy students put into Chinese learning is notenough. Motivation can directly affect students’ learning motivation, self-awareness,persistence, and the frequency of the use of learning strategies, thus affecting theacademic performance. Weather the achievement is good or bad will react onmotivation, and affect its enhancement and weakened. Therefore, this paper analyzesthe students’ motivation and close-range vision of motivation, and analyzes how tostimulate students’ motivation to learn Chinese language in the classroom and in theend,it would increase students’ enthusiasm for learning from root causes. Theteaching model that Chinese volunteer teachers use in primary and secondary schoolsin Daejeon is by way of cooperation with local Korean teachers, known as co-teaching model. The theory originated in the United States in the1950s. Based on theactual situation of Daejeon high schools, the co-teaching model of teaching Chinesein Daejeon high schools is discussed, and the advantages and difficulties of co-teaching is analyzed. Besides, in accordance with the teaching practice, the factorsthat affect teaching collaboration and the solutions to the problems are analyzed. Chinese volunteer teachers are teaching Chinese in non-Chinese languageenvironment, which brings Chinese teaching some negative impact; and therefore, the optimization of the teaching environment is imperative within the capacity ofvolunteer Chinese teachers. Chinese volunteer teachers have played a positive role innot only the transformation of Daejeon teaching environment, but also in other fields,I believe that these effects will inevitably continue to deepen and promote thecommon development of China and South Korea.
