Positive Psychology is a rise in the end of the20actual psychology movement, whichfocuses on human emotions and experiences, positive personality traits, and positiveorganizational systems, and which discovers and nurtures the positive potential and virtueof human. At the same time, positive psychology concerns the humanistic care, subjectivewell-being, and individual features which ideological and political education has beenconcerned. Besides, the concept of positive education and the methods of positiveemotional experience, actively organizational system, and positive psychologicalcounseling, advocated by Positive Psychology, provide an insight and vital reference forthe development of the ideas and methods of the ideological and political education forChinese undergraduate.The theme of the paper is on political and ideological education of university studentsin the perspective of Positive Psychology. Firstly, investigate the background andsignificance of the study and summarize the research achievements about PositivePsychology and the enlightenment from Positive Psychology in the ideological andpolitical education for Chinese undergraduate. Then, the paper expounds the positivepsychology and discusses the conjunction of the positive psychology and the ideologicaland political education. At last and most importantly, the paper puts forward that thepositive psychology can throw light and apply on ideological and political education.
