With the development of sports competition, the gap of the competitive levelbetween the high-level athletes are becoming smaller and smaller. The athletes’competitive age range changed due to the application of high-tech training means,science of nutrition, and psychological training. Timely capturing the informationof the world excellent throwing athletes’ age characteristics, their ability to maintaincompetitive and their sports life is of great importance to reduce the waste ofresources, improve the overall level of track and field events, and is very meaningfulfor the selection of throwing talent in China as well. In this thesis, by applying themethods of literature, correlation analysis and comparative analysis of the worldexcellent throwing athletes’ age changes, the distribution of the age structure, the ageand years of sport performance and the characteristics of sport performance changewith age. The conclusions are as following:1.From2002to2012, the world excellent throwing athletes competitive agedeviation range is large, the uneven distribution of the age structure mainlyconcentrated in26~30years old period, and competitive age showed a trend ofincrease.2.The world excellent throwing athletes first achieved good results at their ageof16~22years old, after4years, they can reach the international top level. Thebest result can be achieved in the age range of24~30, and average movement lifecan be keeped more than10years, but there are individual differences in the worldexcellent throwing athletes competitive age.3. From2002to2012, the age of those throwing athletes’ who are fromdifferent projects is on the rise as a whole, and the age of different projects maydiffer due to gender. Namely, the average age of the men’s projects are manifestedas: the hammer>discus>the javelin>shot; the average age of the women’s projectsare as: discus>the javelin>shot put>the hammer.4. Changes in motor performance can be divided into four stages: improvementstage (15~24years old), best competitive stage (24~28years old), competitive keepstage (29~36years old) and the retirement stage (after37years old).
