Currently study on learning motivation has been of great importance, and mostof which focus on studying learning motivation among primary and secondarystudents. Study on college students’ is relatively in a small numbers. Literary review,comparative method, investigations and analysis, and empirical approach will beapplied in this paper. During the survey,800pieces of questionnaires were given outamong eight colleges and universities of different levels in An’hui province, amongwhich682pieces were effective after handed over. By analyzing the statistic, weobtained the most objective information about learning motivation of cotemporarycollege students, so that contents and structures of study on learning motivationamong current college students have been enriched to some extent; Besides, designfeatures of learning motivation among college and university students have beenmastered, so that we can provide objective basis and practical guidance forimproving their learning motivation and make education and management of theirstudy more specific.After a careful study of the statistic and other information gained from thequestionnaire, we found that learning motivations of college students were differentfrom each other dramatically in genders, urban and rural, disciplines, and grades. Tocultivate learning motivation of college and university students, effort from one sideis not enough. It needs efforts from students themselves, teachers, society andschools all together.
