Report to the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that:"We should continue to adapt Marxism to China’s conditions in keeping up with the times and increase its appeal to the people, work hard to equip the whole Party with the system of theories of socialism with Chinese characteristics and educate the people in these theories. We should further implement the national project to study and develop Marxist theory, build an innovation system in philosophy and the social sciences, incorporate the system of theories of socialism with Chinese characteristics into the curriculum and make it a way of thinking."The basic task for the study of the construction of ideological and political theory course in colleges is to go into, explore and reveal its regularities. The in-depth research and grasp of the regularities is an urgent requirement to further strengthen and advance its construction and to give full play to the main channel and main battlefield role of ideological and political education work among college students. The basic rule of the transformation from textbook system to teaching system for ideological and political theory course in colleges is an important component of the construction of ideological and political theory course in colleges. It is an inevitable demand for the comprehensive improvement of the effective teaching of ideological and political theory course to work hard to study and explore the regularity problems of the transformation. This is also the purpose of the selected topic.With adherence to Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong thought and the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, as well as with the methods of documentary research, comprehensive analysis, and integrating theory and practice, this paper discusses and explores the regularities of the transformation from textbook system to teaching system in three aspects of value, principle and requirement. First, in value, it is needed to grasp accurately the characteristics of the textbook system and to deepen scientific feature of the teaching contents; to delve into the characteristics of teaching process, to enhance the pertinency of teaching methods; to know properly the characteristics of students’ thought, and to improve effectiveness of teaching. Second, in principle, there is a request to follow optimization rule of every factor in teaching process so as to fulfill comprehensive transformation; to follow the optimization rule of structural function in teaching process in order to realize the structural transformation; and to follow the progressive rule in teaching process to achieve hierarchical transformation. Third, in requirement, it is a must, in the process of teaching and learning, to inquire into the dialectical relationships of "teaching strategy" and "learning strategy","ideal" and "reality" as well as "dominance" and "subject" in order to realize the recreation of courses by teaching subject. Through analyses and researches, it indicates that the basic rule of the transformation from textbook system to teaching system for ideological and political theory course in colleges consists in adhering to the unity of politics and science, following the "sustainability rule of curriculum standards"; sticking to the integration of imparting knowledge and ideological education, following the "rule of enough receptive process"; persisting in the unity of knowledge, emotion, sense and action, and abiding by the "collaborative law of teaching elements".
