Today’s world is all about internet. And online games are becomingan important contributing part of entertainment given the fact that one offour people in China are online game players. As such a big virtual cultureindustry, we may have to worry about the pros and cons.This article is conducting by questionnaires and to build a structuralequation model(SEM) which is based on the type of online game theplayers choose, the addiction level of those players and interpersonal skillsto describe whether players of different type of games have differentaddiction level as well as the influence of the two factors(type andaddiction level) have on players interpersonal skills. So that we can takeadvantage of those beneficial online games, avoid those harmful and enjoythe pleasure surfing online.There are314effective questionnaires with confidence level andconstruct validity all reaching the requirements of research and suitable forsubsequent analysis.The result of SEM shows that:1. Players of different types of online games have significantdifference on game addiction level and other dimensions.2. The viscosity of games, frequency of games, gaming age andplayers addiction are correlated.3. After matching the three factors of online games players addictionand quantified addiction level, there is mismatch between the data and theanalysis result about players interpersonal skills which will result inmodify the standard of online games addiction level.4. Players of different type of games have significant difference on interpersonal skills.Besides, we also found out that the earlier Role-playing game(RPG)players have access to online games the higher the threshold of addicted toonline games. Parents should not prevent their children access to onlinegames, in contrast some access to online games during childhood caneffectively reduce the probability of addicted to online games afterwards.Sports games have very little influence on interpersonal skills basicallybecause the few interactivity during games.(For example, fewer fixedteammates mode and fragmentation time providing main experience of thegames.)...
