The Research Of Social Workers’ Role In Multi-disciplinary Team Model

It is found that diabetes is becoming increasingly affect human’s health and turninginto a worldwide public health issue. So it’s extremely important to take timely andeffectively controllable treatment measures, a number of multi-disciplinary cooperationteam have gathered in X elder nursing home and involved into the service process for thediabetics, exploration for the role of social work in the process of casework service is thestudy emphasis of this article.First of all, the author has explored the role of social worker in the actual serviceprocess by using Wang Sibing’s double role of social worker through specificintervention process, which mainly including the management coordinator andintermediate broker role in the earlier intervention period; promoter and educator role inthe middle intervention period, supporter and tracker role in the post-intervention role, allthose roles have the internal connection based on the intervention priorities andintervention tasks.Secondly, it has explored that factors promoting roles of social work include thepositive derivation of the conception of helping people of social work, actively promotingeffect of the multi-disciplinary cooperation form, tensile impact of social worker’ workcontents and forms; in addition, the special serviced group in the elder nursing agenciesand the unmatched generalist role of social worker have blocked the social worker’s roleplaying to a certain extent.The above exploring conclusion is obtained by the method of casework intervention,together with the guidance of problem resolution model and rational emotive ABC theoryto carry out service. Collect information by interviewing, participant observation andreferring to the literature of X elder nursing home during the early period, theintervention is carried out by the face to face talking with serviced objects through socialworkers and in-charged doctors, correcting the irrational beliefs of the serviced objects by planning training activities, using cognition of rational emotive therapy and emotionalskills. The evaluation at last is completed by combining with the intended target,self-assessment of the serviced objects and feedback information from service objects’families and medical care staffs.
