The previous reciprocity researches in Anthropology mainly focus on entity formof reciprocity which occurred in kinship groups or geopolitical groups namely"acquaintance society". The previous reciprocity researches analyze the mutuallybeneficial mechanism mainly from the angle of social norms and ethics. Most of theresearch object is a reciprocal exchange process between individuals. Other thanprevious researches of reciprocity and perspectives of patients’ mutual aid organization,on the basis of cancer patients with oral materials, this research focuses on BeijingAnti-cancer Paradise from the perspectives of affective reciprocity and groupreciprocity analysis the reciprocity behaviors taken place between strangers as the maincontent of emotional communication.Previous reciprocity researches tend to hold this idea that mutually beneficialreciprocity is two sides of a kind of pay and reward, symmetry properties of roughlyequal exchange relationship. But based on the case of Beijing Anti-cancer Paradise, there exists another kind of reciprocal pattern that is affective reciprocity. Affectivereciprocity is this kind of reciprocity that is rooted in human nature, emotion assubstantial exchange of content, regardless of the interests, pays are greater than thereturns which is asymmetric. In addition, this case also involves group reciprocity. Inthe process of group reciprocity, individuals can get or exchange special feelings suchas identity, a sense of belonging, social sense of dedication and sense of collective.Group reciprocity also has the scale of network. Being different between two relativelyfixed individual reciprocal behaviors, this group reciprocity behavior increases thenumber of people involved in mutual promotion greatly and the reciprocal object is notfixed, being like a snowball making more patients involved in this group which greatlyexpands the effect of the reciprocity. Group reciprocity is more inclined to symbolicmood of exchange and affective reciprocity but not material exchanges. Affectivereciprocity and group reciprocity are closely linked both influencing each other andpromoting each other.
