Purpose:Altitude training can improve the competitive ability of the best trained athletes. Altitude training can cause series of anoxic resistance, the change and adaptation of hypoxia are closely related to the cardiovascular system. The autonomic nervous system is widely involved in the regulation of the cardiovascular system. The cardiovascular autonomic nervous system of child and adolescent compared with the adult has different physiological particularity. The research can observe whether young swimmers attend altitude training can improve their function of cardiovascular autonomic nervous.Objectives:33 young swimmers from Shanxi Province, divided into two groups, the 13-16 years old group(with an average age of 13.53±0.87 years)and the 7-12 years old group(with an average age of 11.25±0.86 years). Methods:All the swimmers trained in Qinghai Province(elevation 2366 meters) for 2 weeks, then back to Shanxi Province for 2 weeks training in the plains. Observing the change of the young swimmers’heart rate variability, epinephrine and norepinephrine, and cardiac output during the altitude training, analysis the difference between two groups.Results:1.There was a significant difference of epinephrine and norepinephrine in athletes at various time points during altitude trainning(F=19.079, P<0.01;F= 56.517, P<0.01). There was no significant difference between groups.2. There were significant differences of RMSSD and HF in athletes at various time points during altitude trainning (F =9.046, P<0.01;F=8.646, P<0.01);There was no significant difference of LF and VLF in athletes at various time points during altitude trainning; There were significant differences of TP and LF/HF in athletes at various time points during altitude trainning. There was no significant difference between groups.3. There were significant differences of quiet heart rate, stroke volume, cardiac output at various time points (F= 9.036, P<0.05; F= 10.663, P< 0.01; F= 1.315, P< 0.05). There was a significant difference of cardiac output between two groups (F= 8.006, P< 0.01).Conclusions:1. All the swimming athletes in the plateau training have the same changing trend of HRV, epinephrine and norepinephrine, and cardiac output.2. The 13-16 years old athletes’ability of autonomic nervous and the cardiovascular function are better than the 7-12 years old swimmers’.3. The two weeks of altitude training is not enough to affect the 7-16 years old athletes’.autonomic nervous system function.
