A Study On The Feasibility Of Integrating School Social Work Into Solving College Students’ Psychological Problems

China is going through rapid economic development and social change currently,fierce social competition led to China’s colleges are also heavily influenced by the complex context. College Students need to face a variety of pressures, including adaptation to the environment,employment,interpersonal relationships, emotional pressures which brought a wide variety of psychological problems, not only detrimental to the healthy growth of college students, but also may lead to negative social influence. Their mental health problems has drawn public attention. Mental health level of college students directly related to personality shaping and improving the overall quality of the whole people, to solve psychological problems, good students’psychological quality training is essential.However, in the rising number of college students, psychological problems become more complex and diversified, current College Students Work patterns and College Psychological Counseling can effectively solve some problems sometimes, while,these patterns can not effectively deal with the students appear various issues. Therefore, there is a need to introduce new working method, namely school social work, to complement existing solutions to problems, and thus be more effectively promote their mental health development. In recent years, the social work profession has made some progress in China, but because of the social work profession in China started late, academic development is not mature enough, school social work integrating into colleges in the Mainland of China will take some time, but as professional approach to students’questions, its strengths can not be ignored, the school social work the psychological problems into work is its necessity in nature.Solving psychological problems of students from the specific conditions of the present study and college students’questions commonly used paper introduces the traditional psychological problem solving, namely the traditional college students work and psychological counseling, to explore two methods to solve the students’ psychological problems to be effective at the same time pointed out deficiencies existing in the work, thereby introducing the concept of the school social work, the feasibility of integrating school social work into psychological problems were analyzed after comparing the school social work with college student work and psychological counseling work.This research is based on author’s internship in Nanjing University Psychological Counseling Center, which help me induce college students’ psychological problems. Through interviewing counsellors in Psychological Center, most psychological problems confronted by college students are summarized. Then discuss the traditional approaches of solving psychological problems from two aspects,which are school institution and students themselves. From the perspective of college institution, mainly include ideological and political education of College Students Work patterns and psychological counseling in Psychological Counseling Center. From college students’ perspective, they usually relieve themselves or seek help from family, relatives and friends. Then, the advantages and barriers of College Students Work and Psychological Counseling Work in solving students’ psychological problems are discussed respectively. Thus the concept of School Social Work are introduced, and discuss the feasibility of integrating School Social Work into existing college working system to solve students’ psychological problems, by using social work three working methods, case management and outreach work. Comparing School Social Work with College Students Work and Counseling work, find the similarities and differences among several works, finally put forward the necessary in the practical work will work idea of school social work into student work in colleges and universities work practice, and multi-angle, multifaceted, and the psychological consultation work, set up maintenance to promote the healthy growth of college students psychological support network.In conclusion, make a conjunction among school social work,college students work and counseling work, creating a system to support students’ psychological problems, by drawing on the advantages of a variety of disciplines, working methods, improve existing working methods of college students so as to improve mental health counseling system and students’ mental health level.
